Merrymaking

Yikes! It's been too long since I've updated my blog. Not that anyone really reads it, but I should do it out of practice; maybe develop my typing skills. The past couple of months have been rather uneventful. I got into a post bachelors program at Oakland University and I've finally decided to apply and attend physician assistant school. I feel that I don't want to give up on medicine, but I realized that being in school for that long wasn't really appealing to me. It's crazy, the things a year abroad will do to you. I won't stop learning (I do plan on getting a public health degree and maybe a degree in health policy), but I feel like being a PA is more to my liking. This also reinvites the idea of going into the military, but as a PA. I never knew this before, but PAs actually originated from the various medical personnel that served in the military medicine corps.

Other than that, Halloween was a lot of fun. I dressed up as Sherlock Holmes. Surprisingly, I was a hit at the bar and I got groped by a few girls. Yes, you read that correctly, I was GROPED. I should start a harrasment law suit (sarcasm).

Since, mid-October, I've been on the Primal Blueprint aka Neandrathin, aka the ADA diabetics diet. It's really a lifestyle change. Gone is the bread, rice, cereal and other processed grains. I no longer eat refined sugars. I pretty much cook everyday for myself and my Dad. Believe it or not, I have never felt better in my whole life. Read this blog (Marks Daily Apple) and you might find a thing or two you like and agree with. So far, I have lost about 10 lbs while exercising 2-3 times per week. I need to increase the amount of times I exercise per week, but so far it's a good start.

Well my devoted readers (or lack there of) I must go and conquer the world (read: make some food). Check back for more regular updates.
